Book Fair Coming SOON!!

Hello Rose Park Parents!

To prepare for the upcoming Literati Book Fair, I’ve created a digital wishlist of items I’d love to add to our classroom library:

https://literati.com/a/wishlists/amanda-brouwers-wishlist-x69fc

These books will help students on their journey to becoming confident and enthusiastic readers. Thank you for your support!

Exciting news… we have a new book fair company this year—Literati—and the online fair is officially live! Shopping online is a great way to find books that won’t be available at the in-person fair. It’s also the best way to purchase from teacher wishlists, since some of those titles may not be on-site. A special bonus: Gift cards are available online! This makes it easy for students to shop at the fair without bringing cash to school. Start browsing here: https://literati.com/store/?school=rose-park-christian-school-holland-mi Happy reading!

The in-person book fair will take place at Rose Park on April 22, 23, and 24.

March is Reading Month

We are going to take a pause from our current Reading curriculum to celebrate a few children's book authors during the month of March.

We will be discovering the style of writing each of these authors have, as well as comparing many of the books they have written.

Here is our schedule of Authors:
Week of March 2:  Dr. Seuss
Week of March 9:  Eric Carle
Week of March 16:  Laura Numeroff
Week of March 23:  Mo Willems

3rd Quarter - Progress Reports

Friday - March 13 will be the end of our 3rd Quarter in Kindergarten. Your student has been working so hard and learning so many new things.

During our Parent/Teacher Conference I will highlight the areas we have been working on and will give you an idea of where they are at.

In this last quarter of Kindergarten we are going to continue to do a lot of learning and growing. Expectations will continue to grow, as we are preparing for first grade. I will continue to send home bi-weekly progress reports with skills we are working on. Please continue to work with your child on a daily basis with their reading, cvv & cvcc words, heart words, and math. By doing this you are helping reinforce concepts we are learning in the classroom as well as helping these concepts stick.
